Conference contributions in Münster and Padova

In June and July, I attended two conferences presenting my previous and current work. First, our department was at the 54th Annual Conference of the asp in Muenster/Westfalen from June 14th to 18th, including a junior conference for young researchers. At the junior conference, I was presenting my study on the interaction of dyad’s motives on performance and discussed future direction of my dissertation. In the course of the main conference, I presented a poster of the study. I am really thankful for the discussions during the conference that were really inspiring and gave me new impulses.

From July 11th to 16th, I participated at the 16th European Congress of Sport & Exercise Psychology (FEPSAC) in Padova, Italy, a European sport psychological congress. Again, I was presenting a poster with the same topic, see the picture. In fact, a lot of the topics presented were applied themes or related to the COVID pandemic so that, surprisingly, our department was almost the only one doing research on motives and interindividual differences in performance.

In sum, I arrived motivated back at work – and let’s not talk about my journey back to Germany including a bunch of unfortunate coincidences – and will now focus on developing a theoretical framework for dyadic motives and performance.
